All art forms are vehicles for storytelling, and for most performing arts disciplines, this storytelling is based in the written word. From the swooning, eleven o’clock number in a musical theater performance to the over-the-top stand-up routine about a family vacation gone wrong, many artists use words to create universes that speak to their unique perspectives. Many of our campers here at PAW love to use their language arts foundation from school and combine it with their passion for creative writing in order to create inspired projects, whether it’s through film, comedy, songwriting, or debate. If your child wants to be the next Stephen Spielberg or Stephen Sondheim, check out the following summer camp programs to ignite the spark!

There are so many ways to tell a story and mixing and matching writing-based camps is a fantastic way for your child to develop their own path as a writer. Whether it’s nurturing a lifelong passion or a way to get an edge in language arts classes in the fall, writing camps inspire children to create something bigger than themselves.
