TEAM SPORTS ACTIVITIES
Fit sports and fitness into your summer with iFit Sports! Performing Arts Workshops’ Fitness Camp, iFit Sports, is a two week sports and fitness camp that combines fun fitness activities with traditional sports and nutrition education. The iFit “athlete” participates in a well rounded fitness routine that consists of stretching, cardio, resistance training, relay races as well as karate and team sports. With workshops like Yoga Boogie, Cardio Kickboxing, Resist-A-Ball, Speed Racer, Pilates Jr. and Jump & Tone combined with team sports activities such as Basketball, Soccer, Volleyball, and more our campers get to experience a variety of different ways to make physical activity a part of daily life.
Each day will start off with a morning stretch to prepare our campers for the day followed by a rotation of workshops designed to hit the 3 major components of physical fitness: Cardio, Strength and Stamina. Also included in the morning activities will be a series of nutrition classes like Smart Snacks, Better Fuel, Not So Fast Food, The Perfect Pyramid and Veggie Wars all designed to help campers understand how different foods fuel the body. In the afternoon, campers get the opportunity to put their new found skills to use while participating in their favorite sports activities. At the end of the two weeks, our iFit campers will get treated to a special live performance from the Performing Arts Workshops Musical Theater and Guitar Camp students. With 4 different session available, what better way to spend the summer?
Hey Parents,
With Physical Education and other team activities being cut from school curriculums due to budget cuts, what better way to bring physical fitness and a love of sports back into your child’s life than through summer camp?
