I Have Read, Understand And Agree To All Rules & Policies Regarding PAW Ambassador Scholarships:

· I agree to attend an event and promote PAW camps at a mutually agreed upon time and place. I agree to stay for the entire duration of the event for the event to qualify as a PAW Ambassador Scholarship. I acknowledge that events can be up to eight hours in duration.

· I agree that only the person listed on this application can attend an event as a PAW Ambassador. I further agree to NOT send a person to an event in my stead.

· I agree that my child is allowed to accompany me to the event, but only if my child is 10 years of age or older. I further agree that if my child accompanies me to an event, that my child will not be left unattended.

· I agree and acknowledge that each event qualifies for half off of tuition per one session of camp, and is not redeemable for cash value. I understand that if the camp session and program I originally selected does not have the minimum number of children to operate, I may select another session to apply my scholarship to. I further understand that I may attend additional events to qualify for more PAW Ambassador Scholarship opportunities in order to add sessions or children.

· I acknowledge that while at an event I am representing PAW as a volunteer and I agree to refrain from using profanity or using tobacco or tobacco products while at an event and to conduct myself in a manner befitting a representative of a children’s arts education program.

· While at a PAW event, I agree to promote PAW camps and programs only. I agree to only distribute materials designated by PAW. I agree to not promote outside materials, competing activities, promotions, agendas, politics, etc.

· I agree and understand that I am representing PAW strictly as a volunteer, and not as an employee or contractor.

· I agree to wear the PAW t-shirt while on site. I further agree to not alter the shirt. One t-shirt will be provided free of charge and is to be worn by the representative parent.

· I agree to bring a non-perishable lunch and water to the event. I acknowledge PAW will not provide food items for Ambassadors.

· I agree to set up and take down my own booth/table at the event.

· In order for an event to meet the criteria of a PAW Ambassador Scholarship I agree to confirm my attendance and participation by texting/emailing time-stamped photos of myself to PAW in the following manner and at the following times: beginning when I arrive and set up, once hourly while at the event, and before I tear down my table.

· Other than as listed above, I will refrain from using, talking, texting, web browsing on my cell phone except for cases of emergencies. I understand that violating this clause will invalidate the event and the event will not be credited as a qualifying PAW Ambassador Scholarship.

· I agree and acknowledge that I will receive literature and promotional materials either via FedEx, or on site, contingent upon PAW’s needs.

· I acknowledge I may be required to supply my own folding table and/or chairs for the event.

This is to affirm that the information contained in my registration form is true, complete and correct to the best of my knowledge and  I accept the conditions set forth by PAW.  I further understand that if any information is later determined to be false it is grounds for revocation of the PAW Ambassador Scholarship.
By submitting this form it is understood that I have read and agree to the information regarding dates, rules and company policies.  I knowingly assume all risks arising from participating in this activity.  I understand that PAW is not responsible for any actions or damages from any person arising out of my volunteer time as a PAW Ambassador Scholarship recipient.  I agree to indemnify and hold harmless PAW, its officers, directors, employees, representatives, agents and staff from any claims due to negligence, omission or faulty advice.  I certify that I have legal authority to sign this release/waiver of liability, and sign it without duress or coercion.
I have emailed a photo of myself and my child to performingartsla@aol.com and in the subject line have written the words “PAW Ambassador Scholarship Request”.  In the body of the email, I have included my name and contact information so PAW may match up my profile to my application.
I understand that if accepted as a PAW Ambassador, I will be required to complete a camp registration form for my child and submit payment for the parent sponsored portion of the camp tuition.
I understand and acknowledge that there are only a limited number of PAW Ambassador Scholarships available.  Beginning January 1st to June 25th each year.

At Performing Arts Workshops we feel every child should be afforded the opportunity to experience the arts, and all that the arts have to offer in the way of character building, life skills, and academic enrichment. The PAW Ambassador Scholarship is intended to create those opportunities for children who would otherwise go without them, as well as increase the number of camp sessions and camp electives for those families wishing to maximize their children’s summer camp opportunities.

With a PAW Ambassador Scholarship, finances will never again be a barrier for any child to attain a well-rounded arts education and to that end…we are proud to present the PAW Ambassador Scholarship!

 Become a PAW AMBASSADOR

WHAT IS THE PAW AMBASSADOR SCHOLARSHIP?

The PAW Ambassador Scholarship is a service-in-exchange for tuition program. By volunteering ONE DAY of your time you will be helping to further PAW’s arts education mission by spreading the word about our camps, and our many scholarships & discount programs, thereby enabling more children in your community to enjoy the benefits of a rewarding summer camp experience.

The Ambassador Scholarship is truly a win-win
opportunity. By raising your community’s awareness of PAW’s camp programs, scholarships and discounts, you can enhance the number of camp sessions and arts options for your own family. You can even be a repeat ambassador and continue to enjoy having PAW sponsor half the tuition to any session of camp your child wishes to participate in.

WHO CAN BENEFIT?

The PAW Ambassador Scholarship is open to families with multiple children, or families with children who wish to take multiple sessions of camp – in short, any family wishing to maximize their child’s summer camp opportunities.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

The PAW Ambassador Scholarship requires a 1 day commitment from you. Your day may begin as early as 8:00 a.m. and will conclude approximately mid to late afternoon, depending on the event. As a PAW Ambassador, the public relations you perform will include speaking and chitchatting to other parents and families on PAW’s behalf. You will also be passing out coupons, brochures, and camp literature. If your child has attended one of our camps in the past, you can also speak to people about your child’s camp experience.

Some of the events that PAW and their Ambassadors attend during the months leading up to and throughout summer include camp expos, farmers markets, book fairs, PTA assemblies and the like. In most cases, PAW will pair an Ambassador to a local event that we are already committed to attend. Another exciting option for an Ambassador is to share with PAW an event happening in their own community or school, thereby creating an opportunity in a familiar setting in which to perform their duties.

Ultimately, the event an Ambassador attends will be mutually agreed upon by PAW and the Ambassador and will be scheduled a minimum of two weeks or more in advance.

WHAT WILL I NEED?

You will need to bring your smile and a can-do attitude! Of course, you will need to bring a non-perishable lunch and plenty of water. Depending on the venue, you may need to bring a lightweight folding table and a plastic tablecloth on which to display brochures and literature. (PAW will provide you with all promotional materials). In some cases, these materials may be shipped to your home or delivered to you on site, depending on the event.

Please complete the on-line application below.
A PAW representative will contact you within two weeks
of your submitting of the form.  Thank you for taking the time
to provide a service to the families in your community!

Performing Arts Workshops Mission Statement

Our goal is to ensure that all school aged children are provided the opportunity to experience the performing arts by making these programs available to them through affordable after school and summer enrichment.  Through the discipline of the arts, we teach children valuable life skills such as self-confidence, risk-taking and working with others toward a common goal.  Focusing on cooperation in a  noncompetitive atmosphere, children of all ages and skill levels are allowed to learn, grow and freely explore new ideas.
